Chelsey Leffet Promoted to Managing Director at HVS and Leads Northeast Region

Chelsey Leffet, a board member of the ILHA East Coast Chapter, has been recently promoted to Managing Director at HVS. She now leads the Washington, D.C. Consulting & Valuation office and is also the Director of the HVS Northeast region. Chelsey has consulted on hotels of all asset classes and development stages throughout the Mid-Atlantic region, including several hostel lodging assets. With her extensive experience in the Washington, D.C. market and surrounding areas, she has worked on notable luxury and upscale engagements like the Willard InterContinental D.C., The Hay-Adams, and Mandarin Oriental Washington D.C., among others.

Chelsey has also used her knowledge and experience to publish articles on the dynamics of the Mid-Atlantic hotel markets, per-diem rate changes, and the American Hotel & Lodging Association’s Legislative Summit. She has also written on newsworthy events like Amazon’s HQ2 plans for Northern Virginia. Her keen insights into the Washington, D.C. lodging market are further developed by her involvement in local organizations. Chelsey helps lead and organize networking and educational events for the Hospitality Real Estate Society (HRES) and serves on the board of the ILHA’s Northeast Chapter.

Chelsey earned a BS in Hospitality Management and a master’s degree in Business Administration from East Carolina University. She is a state-certified general appraiser working towards a designation of MAI as a Designated Member of the Appraisal Institute.
