The International Luxury Hotel Association’s East Coast Chapter recently hosted a successful meetup at the Kimpton Epic in Miami, Florida. Despite the weather conditions with a tropical storm approaching the meetup was well attended and the atmosphere was energizing.

The event took place at the beautiful newly-renovated Kimpton Epic Area 31 which was the perfect setting for a casual but elegant social. Guests included like-minded leaders in the luxury hospitality, spa, and wellness space who came together to reconnect, network, share best practices and new ideas. The event was also an opportunity to enjoy refreshing cocktails and take in breathtaking views of Miami Beach, despite the torrential downpour.

ILHA’s President, Barak Hirschowitz, welcomed the group with special thanks to Ericka Nelson, General Manager of the Kimpton Epic, for graciously hosting the event. He also shared the recently-announced INSPIRE 2023 conference venue and dates, which will take place at the Eden Roc Miami on December 11th&12th.

The ILHA event would not have been possible without the community of local hoteliers for their ongoing support and for the efforts of board members Gloria Fu, Anna Domingo, and Amy Zocchi

The success of the event was also attributed to the hard work of board member Sonny Hare and the Avendra team.

“It’s always a pleasure to work with ILHA on events like this meetup,” said Sonny. “Guests were able to interact with our suppliers who so graciously provided offerings, including food & beverage. The exemplary service from Kimpton Epic was the icing on the cake of a very exciting event.”

A special thank you to the event sponsors, Zach Wojohn, Valet Vault, Herb Briggs, Universal Companies, and Francisco Tonaley , Distiller LLC who provided wine tastings and a special sample of their Grand Brulot VSOP Cognac Cafe, which guests thoroughly enjoyed. Two lucky winners also enjoyed their own bottle of the Grand Brulot donated by Mr. Tonaley.

Sarah Belcher, a Partner Strategist at Heartland, shared her thoughts on the event, “The east coast chapter event was a fantastic intimate event that enabled the members to connect on a deeper level, sharing industry knowledge and gaining a better understanding of how we can help each other.”

Overall, the ILHA’s East Coast Chapter Meetup was a tremendous success, providing an opportunity for industry leaders to network, share ideas, and have some fun. The ILHA is looking forward to an exciting year ahead and the success of this event is a testament to the incredible group of people supporting the association.
