Members of the East Coast Chapter of the International Luxury Hotel Association (ILHA) participated in an in-person hospitality meetup on May 23 in New York City, hosted at the Roof at Park South. The event was an opportunity for new and existing members and their guests to network with ILHA board members and industry peers.

Hosted by the ILHA board, in attendance was ILHA Board Chair Gloria Fu, independent board director at PropTech Investment Corp II, as well as board members Joseph Yi, chief investment officer, Real Hospitality Group, Rika Lisslö, vice president development, Americas at Hyatt Hotels, and Michael Brod, managing director, Canoe Place Inn. Guests enjoyed complimentary cocktails and hors d’oeuvres hosted by TH/RST Group, with Co-Founder Nick Bathurst also in attendance to discuss the grand opening of the Roof at Park South.

“The East Coast Chapter launched just weeks prior to the world shutting down in 2020,” said Board Chair Gloria Fu during her remarks at the event. “The committee quickly pivoted to launch one of the industry’s first virtual engagements; a webinar series that continued to engage and educate through some of the most challenging of times. In the last year, we’ve begun steadily shifting to increase in-person networking opportunities such as this one with the goal of making new introductions and help forge conversations that will help move hospitality forward.”

Fu’s remarks went on to thank Joseph Yi of Real Hospitality Group, Nick Bathurst of TH/RST Group and the Park South Hotel and integral chapter members, including Gretchen Hoefling of Front Line Safety and Carolyn Izzo-Feldman and her team at CIIC PR for supporting and staffing the event.

All donations from the event benefited ServiceSource, a company that specializes in creating inclusive workspaces throughout many verticals, including hospitality.
