Vilebrequin has never forgotten its heritage: the brand is a product of the joy and freedom of the spirit of St-Tropez in the 1970s. Season after season, Vilebrequin promises elegance on vacation, passing on a lasting idea of casual charm, from father to son and mother to daughter.
As leaders in luxury swimwear, we know we have an important role to play in the transformation of the fashion industry at large. In order to save our oceans, we are committed to doing business in a more responsible and sustainable way.
As of 2021, recycled or recyclable materials already represent 50% of our collections, and by 2023, we expect that figure to rise to 80%. We use recycled polyester fibers made from discarded plastics, fishing nets, and other debris found in our oceans. We also use ECONYL, recycled nylon made from repurposed fishnet and carpet debris retrieved from the Mediterranean Sea.
Our vision for the future is an extension of our commitment to quality. We believe modern luxury should go beyond stitch-deep. At Vilebrequin, we believe no man is an island, and the change we stand to make could be that much greater if we act as one.
