Alexandra is reaching out to her local community and offering innovative new programs, from Day Stay and Workcation to a paw.com program and exclusive rates with flexible cancellation policies.

What new programs have you put in place to draw local travelers to your property?
We developed a Day Stay and Workcation package on property curated for those who are working from home and need a change of scenery. For a starting rate of $89, the package includes a room with a work area, desk, chair, complimentary WiFi, water, coffee, tea, and custom INNSiDE PPE kits. Day Stay guests are also allowed full access to the hotel’s amenities including our newly renovated 20th-floor fitness center.

Can you tell us about your paw.com program?
In February, we launched a partnership with Paw.com, one of the country’s fastest-growing pet product companies, to enhance our current pet and Day Stay programs. We wanted to provide a cozier and more comfortable stay for our four-legged guests, and now are delivering faux-fur, human-grade memory foam PupRug pet beds and matching waterproof & scratch-proof PuProtector throw blankets to pet-friendly rooms. In addition to guest-room amenities, we are also offering access to the hotel’s multiple outdoor patios, which are now outfitted with Paw.com’s all-season PupLounge outdoor beds, and a limited-time, two-course dog menu at our signature restaurant The Wilson for canine guests and their human companions to enjoy alongside one another. This partnership is another way the hotel is ensuring our guests (and their pets) can have an enjoyable luxury experience.

How have you revisited your sales strategy to appeal to the local market?
We are offering competitive discounts and exclusive rates to the local market as well as maintaining maximum flexibility to cancel and rebook. We’ve also extended special parking rates and a discount at our signature restaurant, The Wilson, to ensure all of our local neighbors that drive in have a seamless, enjoyable stay from check-in to check-out.

How are you preparing for the return of travel?
We understand that the most important factor guests are looking for as they begin to travel again is safety. We are committed to providing a comfortable and sanitized establishment, where guests can feel at ease with our recently implemented Stay Safe with Meliá program. In compliance with Bureau Veritas, an industry leader in inspection, certification, and testing, INNSiDE New York Nomad’s priority is to ensure the highest standards in the management of preventative measures to combat COVID-19. In accordance with these new safety measures and regulations, we are looking forward to welcoming guests back to the property in a safe and healthy fashion.
