Dianna ThomsenComing out of the pandemic, we have really begun to see our guests prioritize their wellness, whether this be destressing with one of our many relaxing spa treatments or taking the time to get their bodies moving. Cheeca has a wellness program featuring water aerobics classes as well as traditional yoga. To cater to the increasing trend of wellbeing, we are adding additional yoga classes, bringing our offerings up to 7 days a week. Sunrise Yoga is currently the most popular among our guests and we are also adding gentle yoga for beginners. Whether you have years of yoga experience, or just started your fitness journey over quarantine, Cheeca has fitness programs for all of our guests.

To our current facial menu, I am focusing on incorporating products that rely on pharmaceutical grade botanicals as opposed to chemicals. Keeping toxins out of your skincare—and your body—will assist the immune system and bring a sense of wellbeing while still seeing targeted results with your skincare routine.

I am currently creating a new program to be launched soon called our New Moon and Full Moon Treatment. This treatment combines yoga classes three days before and three days after both the new moon and full moon. Also included in this program is a mental health focused massage, offered all month long. This massage uses energetic jade stones and engages guests by focusing on affirmations of their choice—clarity, wellbeing, compassion, health, purifying, self-awareness, gratitude, and compassion—grounding with the therapist prior to treatment to facilitate their intentions. Retail offerings will be available to take the experience home and assist in their journey.

This will be available as a stand-alone yoga class, massage treatment or can be combined for a holistic wellness package.

I definitely see the continuation of wellness at Cheeca in 2022 and beyond. Moving forward I am looking towards adding more wellness services in the massage room—cupping and active release therapy are at the forefront for new upcoming treatments. We are also working on adding more retail to assist our guests on their wellness journey, even after they return home. Also in the works is a specially curated menu for guests to choose from while enjoying their day at our beautiful spa and outdoor pool area.
